About Us

Protecting Innovation is Our Passion…

The firm femida.us is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia (USA) with affiliated offices in Washington, D.C., Paris and Moscow. From its very inception femida has been designed as a truly international law firm joining the interrelated and complementary skills and expertise of its attorneys. Our firm focuses primarily on representing hi-tech, software and internet companies expanding onto the Western markets. We have a wealth of experience of assisting startups in assessing, prioritizing and addressing their legal needs in the fields of corporate law, M&A transactions, intellectual property protection, contracts negotiations and litigation.

We have a unique experience in addressing legal issues arising from commercializing and marketing of innovative technologies and hi-tech products developed in the former Soviet Union. Femida’s primary role is in advising clients as to how to resolve legal issues while taking advantage of new business opportunities.

Our firm’s legal services are combined through an integration of three distinct practices:

The corporate practice of the firm includes representation of clients in connection with formation of technology companies, corporate governance, complex shareholder agreements, venture deals and exit strategies for hi-tech enterprises and their founders. Our attorneys advise domestic and international clients in cross-border corporate transactions, including complex corporate structuring, establishing and maintaining legal entities with foreign ownership, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions.

The technology practice focuses on registration and prosecution of copyrights and trademarks, IP disputes, cross-border technology transfers in the areas of software, telecommunication, entertainment and information security; offshore software development; complex reseller, distribution and licensing agreements. Our of counsel also provide a full range of patent services for software and internet companies.

The litigation practice is designed to protect the interests of our clients in state and federal courts, appellate courts, arbitration tribunals, and administrative boards, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s proceedings, in connection with intellectual property, contract and corporate disputes.

Femida’s approach to problem solving by close integration of three distinct legal practices creates the perfect synergy of the best notions of legal profession with efficiency, modern techniques and entrepreneurial spirit.
